Geer is a community of healing professionals whose principal mission is to console, treat, strengthen and refresh the bodies, minds and spirits of the elderly and disabled residents of the tri-state area.

Geer is a family of five community-owned, non-sectarian, non-stock, non-profit corporations located on a 66 acre campus in North Canaan, (Litchfield County), Connecticut. Just over the Massachusetts border, only minutes from The Berkshires, Geer has achieved a sterling reputation for its level of excellence with personal caring.

Geer is home for a community of people with a range of backgrounds, interests and activities. The facility was designed - and operates today - to provide each patient with an appropriate balance of professional services and personal attention. Geer is a "people place" in that it is a community-owned, locally operated, non-denominational, non-profit facility. Some of Geer's residents come for a short term rehabilitation; others move to Geer for long term care. The majority of our residents are older persons, each with his or her own special interests and needs. Geer offers a variety of programs and activities to involve residents to the best of their ability.
