While earning his degrees, Matt started building bass guitars and has turned it from a hobby to a thriving business, called FBB Custom Bass Works located in Northampton. He received both his bachelor's degree, in 1994, and his master’s degreee, in 1998, from the Unversity of Massachusetts, where he majored in computer science.
