Why is this person a hero/role model to you?: For personal freedom, private property rights, and individual responsibility.

Personal achievement(s) of which you are most proud: Military service in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corp.; being the father of three daughters; and participating in the downtown redevelopment project.

The best advice you can give someone: 1.) Work hard. 2.) Character matters.

Pet peeve: Inefficiency and waste of any kind.
