How I would describe myself: Energetic, active, dedicated.

Current volunteerism, board memberships, etc.: Working four hours each week for Vishay Sprague administrating the hourly pension plan for former employees of the North Adams Sprague Electric; Clarksburg Library volunteer; advisory board member, Northern Berkshire Community Action; board of directors, Landmark Credit Union; chairwoman, Clarksburg Council on Aging, now working toward the building of a new senior center, chairwoman of the building committee; and Clarksburg selectwoman.

Family: Husband, Ray; two daughters, two sons, and one stepson.

Education: BS in business administration from North Adams State College, 1990.

Personal hero/role model: Susan B. Anthony

Why is this person a hero/role model to you? Courage, forceful in her beliefs, caring.

Personal achievement(s) of which you are most proud: The Clarksburg Senior Center, applying and receiving a grant from state for $558,000 to build it. Successfully running for Clarksburg Board of Selectmen. And, together with the Council on Aging, establishing the Clarksburg Senior Club.

Personal quote/trademark expression: “Never give up, always keep trying.”

The best advice you can give someone: Work hard, and take time to do the best you can. Be fair. Many awards are worth it.
