From Mrs. Bourdon’s third grade class at C.T. Plunkett Elementary School:

Our world would be a better place if ...
there was more health insurance and less homeless.
People would be considerate of others,
people would be honest and truthful --
Now that would be a nice place to live in!
More children could go to school,
more people could donate to Nicaragua.
All people could have food and a nice home.
There were no zoos.
We stopped ruining the forest.
Now that would be a good place to live on our Earth!

The Really Haunted House
Once there were two twins names Ian and Maxine. They had a dog names Sarah and a puppy named Ben. They went trick-or-treating. They went to a house that was really a haunted house. The puppy cut off the collar and ran off to the pet store. The rest of them went in the haunted house. There was a skeleton and it was alive. There was a ghost and it was chasing Ian.

I am thankful for ...
my family
my house
my life
the care that my family gives me
the school I learn from
the sports I’m able to do
my nice mom and dad
the things I get

I'm thankful for ...
being born
having good friends by my side
having shelter and food
having good parents always there for me
having something to play with
having my parents care about me
having my parent’s love
having my animals
having my own wonderful, exciting life
not having a hurting family

Our world would be a better place if ...
there was no more nuclear weaponry
there was no more stealing
there were no more wars
there were cheaper prices

The world would be a better place if ...
people did not litter.
forests were no cut down.
kids didn’t watch R movies.
everybody had money for what they needed.
people didn’t let their cats out at night.
all people had heat.

I Remember
when my sister was born
butting heads with my friend Alicia
blowing out the candles of my first birthday cake
swinging on my swing when it was four or five feet off the ground
laughing so hard I almost wet my pants
sliding with my friend Caroline
my first pet Zack
trying to walk for the first time
learning my first cursive word
learning how to talk
planting my first plant
my old house
drawing my first picture
scoring my first soccer goal

I Remember
my dog Aspen
when I went sliding with my Dad
when I got my PS2
the first day of school
when I rode my bike on two wheels
when I went to Virginia Beach
rollerskating
getting my cats
Emmy and Kasey

I Remember
jumping off my bed and falling on my back
swimming with my family
scoring my first soccer goal
picnicking with my family
when my sister sprayed me with the hose
when I met my best friend Coco
when I met Jesylyn and Sharone
when I went to Disney World
going to Cape Cod
when I went to Maine
going shopping with my family
getting my cat Cookie at the pet store
getting my dog Bailey -- even my Dad liked her
having a surprise party for my Dad

The world would be a better place if ...
we could pay less for rent
we had more money for food
cars cost less money
everyone didn’t get sick and die
there were hospitals two minutes away from your house
we made more money

Our world would be a better place if ...
people recycled paper to save trees
people stopped hurting animals
everybody had a home, food and clean water
no animals had to be put to sleep
everyone had money for what they needed
there was no more war.

Our world will be a better place if ...
we had more schools
we got more clothing
we had better homes
we had more money
we got more food
we got more and better shoes
no one would fight or argue
we had no more scary movies
there were nicer people
all parents gave kids better lives

I am thankful for ...
helping Mom and Dad doing chores in the house.

By Alanah McLear
Our world would be a better place if ...
people would not kill the animals on the Earth
there were no robbers
there was no litter
people wouldn’t destroy the forests

Our world would be a better place if ...
there were no more needy people
if some things cost less money
if inconsiderate people didn’t litter
if the animals from the zoo were free
if there were no more bad people

Our world would be a better place if ...
there would be no penniless people
there was no combat
people wouldn't toss rubbish on the ground
there were no more immense taxes
everybody would care for wildlife
if everybody had food in their homes
if everybody had heat in their homes
if everybody had lots of water

Our world would be a better place if ...
people did not litter
everybody had food
we had five hours of school
if there was no more war
there were stores that would help people that need food

I am thankful for:
my parents who take care of me
food that helps me grow
relatives who love me
friends who make me happy
police who get bad people
firemen who put out fires
hospitals that fix us
home that shelters us
pet who give us company
brothers who can help us
people that make the world
schools that help us learn
God who keeps us safe

Mt. Greylock Ramble
My Dad and I are going to the ramble on Mt. Greylock. We will run up and down Mt. Greylock. After we are done running up and down we will go back home.
We will rest. Then my Dad and I will go bike riding. Then we are going home to go to bed.

I am thankful for:
God, food, water. We should be thankful for a lot of things. But if you try saying you’re thankful for everything then you should be thankful for God. God made everything that you see on the Earth. God had a very good son. His name was Jesus. He died for us once. So you should be thankful for everything even if you don’t like it you should always be thankful for everything.

The Man Behind the Mask
Once there were two men. They were the best of friends. One day there was a murder. One of the men witnessed it. He saw a man who was wearing a mask. He was a wanted man. So the man who saw the murder raced after him. He tried to catch him but the man disappeared into the woods. Legend has it the same woods the men ran into are haunted. So when the fight commenced again the wanted man won but he was badly injured and he died. One hundred years later both men came back to life. If I were you I would watch out because they roam the streets at night in your neighborhood.

Our world would be a better place if ...
we didn't have wars
if people gave the homeless a home
if everyone gave blood
if every month people give money to the children’s hospital
everyone adopted a dog or cat
friends treat other friends like they would want to be treated
everyone who needed help got it
people who did good things for our country stayed safe
